Welcome to Psychology at APS!
Welcome to A level Psychology! We hope that you will find the course interesting as it covers a range of topics from memory to the role of social influence on an individual’s actions. Most of you joining the class will not have experienced Psychology before so we hope these tasks will help you get a flavour of what is involved!
We look forward to seeing you in September!
Part A – How can you improve your memory? Explain 2 or more ways that we can improve our memory. Your answer shouldn’t be more than one side of A4. The links below will help you to begin your research.
Part B – What did Zimbardo’s 1972 experiment show and why was it called off after 6 days? Try to find out what his aims were, the method he used and what he found. Why has this piece of research both been considered vitally important and a piece of research that should never have been done?
